Today’s Reading: Psalm 67

so that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all Let the peoples praise You, God, let all the peoples praise You.

Psalm 67:5

Reflection

We were designed by God to behold Him and respond in worship. We were given eyes to receive the wonders of His glory, to witness all of His mighty works that surround us. We were given ears to hear His Word, to learn and understand more of His Truth. We were given mouths to praise Him, to utter what we recall about His goodness and cry out joyful thanks for all He has done. We were given hands to lift up to Him and out to others as He moves us. Deeds of our hands would be testaments of the love we have for our God. And we were given feet to go as we were led by the LORD, to the ends of the earth to share His Gospel Message. All of these facets of our physical being were created to live out of thanks and praise. All of our being was created to glorify Him.

So then, let us praise the LORD as He deserves. Let us make known His grace upon us to others and tell of his salvation upon all of the nations. Since we have been created to worship the LORD, our lives are lived to the fullest when they are used to worship Him. To live for anything else is to live in vain. So then, lift up Your hands, lift up your eyes, open your lips to praise God! We were made to give Him glory.

Prayer

LORD God, all praise and glory be to You. You have done wonderful things and have made them known throughout all the earth. I recall Your works LORD, I remember Your goodness and faithfulness and exalt Your Holy Name. Thank You LORD for all that You have done. Thank You for being so good to me. I pray that You would use me, LORD, to proclaim Your glory throughout the earth. I pray that You would use me to share Your Truth to others around me. I pray these things in Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
