Today’s Reading: Jonah 4:1-11

¨Should I not care about the great city of Nineveh, which has more than 120,000 people who cannot distinguish between their right and their left, as well as many animals?¨

Jonah 4:11

Sermon Main Idea: God wants His people to have His heart for people.

Listen to Rev. Solomona’s sermon from today’s 10AM Sunday Worship Livestream on our Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/ccmla. Reflect on the Text Points and Life Notes below.

Text Notes: Jonah is done with God (v.1-4). God is not done with Jonah (v.5-8). The heart of Jonah and the heart of God (v.9-11).

Life Notes:

God loves the lost. Why does God love the lost even when the lost do not love Him? How does God love the lost?

We are just as lost without God as everyone else. How can everyone be equally lost without God if their sin is different? How does this impact a saved person’s perspective of the lost?

A heart for God equals a heart for the lost. What does it mean to have a heart for God? How can we have a heart for the lost?

Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for Your great love which covers me and seeks to reach the lost. Please grant me Your heart to love others like You have first loved me. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
