Today’s Reading: Acts 4:23-31

“And now, Lord, consider their threats, and grant that Your slaves may speak Your message with complete boldness, while You stretch out Your hand for healing, signs, and wonders to be performed through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

Acts 4:29-30

Life Notes:

  • When persecution knocks you down, lift up your prayers to God. What types of persecution do we face today? Why does the world persecute the Church? Why does God allow the Church to be persecuted?
  • When persecution comes, don’t pray for God to take it away, pray for God to take you through. Why should we ask God to take us through persecution? What happens when we run away from persecution?

Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for continuing to work Your perfect Will in the world. You are Unstoppable. You are Sovereign. Thank You for empowering Your people throughout the ages to do You work. Strengthen me, LORD, by Your Truth and Your Faith, that in the face of persecution I might be like the apostles, who continue to follow You boldly in all circumstances. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
