Today’s Reading: Acts 3:1-10

But Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I have, I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”

Acts 3:6

Sermon Main Idea: The Church has what people need: Give ‘em Jesus!

Come to our Sunday Outdoor Worship Service OR Listen to Rev. Solomona’s sermon from today’s 10AM Sunday Worship Livestream on our Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/ccmla. Reflect on the Text Notes and Life Notes below.

Text Notes: A broken man asks for money (v.1-3). Broke apostles give a miracle (v.4-7). The brand new man breaks out in praise (v.8-10).

Life Note: If the Church has Jesus, and people need Jesus, then give ’em Jesus!

– What does it mean to give people Jesus?

– How does giving people Jesus help them confront issues in today’s culture?

– How do we keep the Gospel from becoming a means to an end (in other words, using the Gospel to advance an agenda)?

– Imagine you have a friend who is asking what Christians should do to respond to injustices in the world. How do you share the Gospel in that conversation? (Hint: Before answering that question, think about what the Gospel is.)

Prayer: LORD, it is Your Holy Spirit that heals and restores. Through Your Son, Jesus, You give us reason to return to You the highest praise. Help us to share with others the Good News about Your Son Who has risen, that all who hear about Him would give You praise too. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
