Today’s Reading: Acts 26:12-18

And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ And I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

Sermon Thoughts: The process of conversion is the message of conversion.

  • The Process of Conversion:

    • Understanding the reality of darkness and light.
    • Turning from darkness to light.
    • Trusting Christ for salvation and sanctification.


  • A – Paul is faithful to Jewish Tradition (v. 4-8)
    • B – Paul formerly persecuted Christians (v.9-11)
      • C – Paul was commissioned by the Lord to witness (v. 12-18)
      • C’ – Paul served as a witness (v. 19-20)
    • B’ – Paul is now persecuted as a Christian (v.21)
  • A’ – Paul is faithful to Jewish tradition. (v.22-23)


Sovereign LORD, thank You for drawing near to me in Your mercy and grace. Thank You for the opportunities You grant me to be a part of Your magnificent plan. Please teach me and train me to be obedient in following after You, that I would grow in more understanding and knowledge of Your Truth. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN.
