Summoning the crowd along with His disciples, He said to them, “If anyone wants to be My follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

Mark 8:31-38

Come to our Sunday Worship Service to listen to Mr. Richard Cook’s sermon at 10AM.

Reflect on the Sermon with us at our Life Group Zoom, Mondays at 7:30PM.

Here is an excerpt from this morning’s Message:

Jesus gave his life that we might live in him. Now, as disciples, we are asked to deny the life we live unto ourselves and accept the new life he offers. But as we know, this new life requires our ‘All’. What then does it mean for us to give Jesus all our time, all our talents, and all our resources? First of all, whatever it means, we know that in our own power we cannot do it, and that only in God’s power can we continually strive to do so. Then exactly what shall we understand that we strive to do each day, yet never fully accomplish?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting me to follow You. Thank You for allowing me to seek You, a God so great and mighty in power and abounding in steadfast love, One Whose wisdom cannot be matched, and Whose omniscience cannot be known. Though I fail, You still give me new life in You. Though I sin, You are patient and merciful. Thank You, LORD, for being so good to me. I pray that You help me to lay all that I have at Your feet, for even this I cannot do by my own efforts. Help me to truly live for You. I love You, LORD, and pray all of this in the Name of Jesus my Savior, AMEN.
