Today’s Reading: Matthew 4:1-11

But He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. “

Matthew:4:4

Come to our Sunday Worship Service to listen to Mr. Richard Cook’s sermon at 10AM.

Reflect on the Sermon with us at our Life Group Zoom, Mondays at 7:30PM.

Here is an excerpt from this morning’s Message:

“Jesus’ ministry began with a demanding test of his obedience to God in the desert, and it ended with an infinitely more demanding test of his obedience, even to the cross. Both tests he passed as no man shall ever do again. In the desert He told us how we may face the temptations of the world by knowing and obeying His word, by pursuing His will and not ours, and by surrendering our life to Him. And through the cross, He has enabled us to do these three things, motivated not by a hope to earn our redemption, but by a heartfelt gratitude for its gift.”

Prayer: Loving God, Your truth and wisdom sustain us in this world of darkness. Your Light shines forth like the dawn, illumines our understanding of You and Your Kingdom, and has also provided us hope for eternity. Thank You for Your Son Jesus, LORD. By Him, we are indeed able to see everything else, and, when we fail you, are assured that Your faithful love never fails. Please teach me Your Word, please help me pursue Your Will, and LORD please show me by the example of Your Son to live a life that is fully surrendered to You. I cannot do these things of my own accord, but am in complete dependence on Your grace. I pray these things in the Name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.
