Today’s Reading: Psalm 33:1-9

The Lord was with For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is trustworthy.

Psalm 33:4

Reflection: God’s greatness is immeasurable. He is the Creator of the universe, having spoken all things into existence. He spans over all of the waters of the earth, and is powerful enough to gather them together. He knows each star that hangs in the sky because He created each one. We have beent old in Scripture that in the Beginning, all God made was good. Because all that He speaks is right and trustworthy, we know that all of creation was made good indeed.

How wondrous is the greatness of God! All creation of which we stand in awe– impressive stretches of lush wilderness, towering mountaintops, the splendid sun and moon, the wonders of what are yet to be discovered throughout space – all hangs in perfect balance as has been ordained by our God. All of creation operates together intricately and beautifully. If this much can be said about creation, how much more wondrous must God then be! How awesome must be His power, and how marvelous His wisdom.

The greatness of God is indescribable. All the praises we earnestly lift up to God are well-deserved by Him. When we praise God with all of ourselves – our voices, by singing and shouting; our bodies, by playing instruments and lifting our hands; and our posture, by standing in awe of Him – the God of the universe sees His creation and is pleased. Find time today to pause for a moment and enjoy God’s creation. When you do, be reminded of the Great Creator, and take some time to give Him praise.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are great. You are worthy of praise. Thank You for Your continued work in creation. Thank You for continuing to work on me. Help me to be mindful of Your greatness today, and help me to give You praise with my whole self. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN.
